How to delete your account and your data
If you decide FlowTrack is not for you, you can permanently delete your account and all associated data. We respect your right to be forgotten.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open FlowTrack and go to Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Read the summary of what will be deleted
- Type "DELETE" in the confirmation field (this prevents accidental deletion)
- Tap Permanently Delete My Account

Warning
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone after the grace period. Make sure you have exported any data you want to keep before proceeding.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

| Cash flow and budget data | Yes — permanently |
| Nominee records | Yes — permanently |
| App preferences and settings | Yes — permanently |
| Payment and billing history | Yes — permanently |
What Is Retained
In accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, we retain:
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics data — this data cannot be linked back to you and is used for product improvement (for example, "X% of users in this age group have emergency funds"). Your individual identity is completely removed.
- Financial transaction records as required by tax and audit regulations for the legally mandated period
No retained data can identify you personally.
Timeline

| Grace period | 7 days — you can cancel the deletion by logging back in |
| Data deletion begins | After the 7-day grace period |
| All personal data permanently deleted | Within 30 days of the grace period ending |
| Backup purge complete | Within 30 days of the grace period ending |
Changed Your Mind?
If you deleted your account and regret it:
- Within 7 days: Simply log back in with your original credentials. Your account will be reactivated and all data restored.
- After 7 days: Your data deletion has begun and cannot be reversed. You can create a new account, but your historical data is gone.

Consider these alternatives:
- Just want to stop paying? Cancel your subscription instead — you keep your data and revert to the Free plan
- Concerned about data? Review our privacy and security articles — remember, FlowTrack never has access to your bank accounts
- Having a bad experience? Email support@flowtrack.money — we genuinely want to fix whatever is not working for you

If you need to delete your account for DPDP Act compliance or any data protection reason, you can also email privacy@flowtrack.money and we will process the deletion on your behalf.
