How to add assets (savings, FDs, stocks, property, gold)

FlowTrack is 100% manual — you add every asset yourself. This is intentional. When you manually enter your finances, you build real awareness of where your money is. If tracking hurts, you change.

Why Manual Entry?

Most finance apps promise automation. FlowTrack takes the opposite approach: you enter everything yourself. Here is why:

• Awareness creates change — typing "₹12,000 on food delivery" hits different than seeing it auto-categorised
• No bank credentials at risk — FlowTrack never asks for or stores your banking passwords, PINs, or OTPs
• Works with every institution — no waiting for your bank to "support" the app
• You stay in control — your data is exactly what you enter, no surprises

How to Add an Asset

1. Open FlowTrack and go to your Dashboard
2. Tap "Add Asset" or the "+" button
3. Choose the asset category:

1. Enter the current value — not the purchase price, but today's value
2. Add optional details (institution name, account number last 4 digits, notes)
3. Tap Save

Your asset will immediately appear in your net worth calculation.

Tips for Accurate Values

Updating Asset Values

FlowTrack will periodically remind you to update your asset values. You can also update anytime:

1. Tap on any asset card on your dashboard
2. Tap "Edit"
3. Update the value
4. Tap Save
